a country which says it wants pple to be creative but then whacks them if they are not creative in ways the govt hasn’t specifically approved.

the best part is Samantha wasn’t even making political statements. only taking the mickey out of sporean habits and attitudes. (what would the reactions be if locksmiths and plumbers actually got creative about their sticker ads??!!)

in fact, the reactions of the govt are not reflective of a rather powerful group which has ruled this country for 50 years, one which is proud of its many achievements (and there are many!!), but of a scared bunch of small-minded, blind pple who have no idea of what they are doing. doesn’t give you much confidence in them or their decisions. (they’re damned lucky they’re not being physically flayed for not providing infrastructure for 2 MILLION more pple.)

they have encouraged people to have the same petty, me-first attitude
as can be seen in all the vicious sporean comments pointing fingers at others who dare do things sporeans have no guts to do. it’s like being in kindergarten… Teacher teacher, Ah Teck did ABC. You always said we cannot do one. And u punished me also for doing it. You Must punish Ah Teck now, otherwise not fair one.

And pple dare say we’re ”better educated”…. HUH!!!!

As for the arrest of the Malaysians, it is contradictory of the govt to say it welcomes them in so they can stick spurs in Sporean hides, and when they do this, they get whacked by a bunch of Sporeans with very thin hides.

We won’t say anything about the small-minded petty Sporean who cheers the foreigners’ punishment, and jeers at the foreigners’ actions — becos he himself doesn’t have the guts to do what they do.

As for the govt, it asks for vibrancy, for new ways of looking at/doing things, and then protests when these are attempted. Bunch of utter amateurs, complete control freaks, who do not understand what they ask for. They need spurs stuck in Their hides….

Once again it underlines that you can’t expect much from a bunch of scholars!

There is no shame in not having a degree so please stop perpetuating that unhealthy belief.

however, your suggestions are much too mild punishments. I don’t think it would be proper though for me to offer my suggs of punishment here. they are pretty cruel.
